Polyurea/Epoxy floors are highly durable and can withstand heavy foot traffic, impacts, and abrasions. They are well-suited for high-traffic areas and environments where wear and tear are common.
Polyurea/Epoxy floors have excellent resistance to chemicals, including oils, solvents, acids, and alkalis. This makes them a preferred choice for environments such as warehouses, garages, factories, and industrial facilities.
Polyurea/Epoxy coatings have a fast-curing time, often within a matter of hours. This quick curing process minimizes downtime and allows for faster return to service compared to traditional flooring options.
Polyurea/Epoxy floors are applied as a liquid, creating a seamless and continuous surface. This eliminates the possibility of dirt, bacteria, or moisture getting trapped in seams or joints.
Polyurea/Epoxy coatings are highly water-resistant and can create a waterproof barrier when applied correctly. This feature makes them ideal for areas prone to water exposure, such as basements, bathrooms, and industrial facilities.
Polyurea/Epoxy floors have a certain degree of flexibility, allowing them to expand and contract with temperature changes without cracking. This flexibility helps to maintain the integrity of the floor over time.
Polyurea/Epoxy coatings are resistant to UV radiation, which means they won't yellow or degrade when exposed to sunlight. This makes them suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications.
Many Polyurea/Epoxy formulations have low VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) content, resulting in minimal odor during and after installation. This is particularly beneficial for indoor spaces.
Polyurea/Epoxy floors can be customized with a variety of colors, textures, and patterns. They can also incorporate decorative elements like flakes, chips, or metallic pigments to create unique and visually appealing surfaces.
Due to their seamless nature and resistance to stains, polyurea/epoxy floors are relatively easy to clean and maintain. Regular cleaning routines can help preserve their appearance and extend their lifespan.
When properly installed and maintained, polyurea/epoxy floors have a long lifespan. Their durability and resistance to various types of damage contribute to their overall longevity.
Polyurea/Epoxy floors can be applied over various substrates, including concrete, wood, metal, and more. This versatility makes them suitable for a wide range of applications and industries.
Damage due to animal chewing or clawing, cutting, abuse, alterations, cutting, chipping, accident, fire, corrosive liquids, extreme heat damage (over 250 degrees F), smoke damage, iron oxide penetration, hydrostatic water pressure and the like.
Failure to adhere to Epoxy Wizz guidelines, including proper substrate surface preparation, avoiding unapproved product mixing or application over inferior coatings, or using their products for unintended purposes, can lead to issues. Adequate concrete surface preparation through mechanical grinding is essential, involving the removal of prior coatings and various impeding substances. The surface should meet specific criteria, such as a 50 to 100 grit profile, neutral pH (7), and moisture vapor transmission not exceeding 3 pounds. It’s the user’s responsibility to check for moisture transmission. In the event of warranty claims, Epoxy Wizz liability is limited to the cost of replacement materials.
